DOCM for Clinicians Workshop
Do you have female clients who are processing a wounded relationship with their mother?
Mother Wounds are so common, yet they take unique insight, intention, and an individualized approach.
In this two-hour, pre-recorded workshop, we’ll learn about the characteristics of a Daughter of a Critical Mother and how best to support her. We’ll go beyond the first layers of perfectionism and self-doubt, diving deeper into inner experiences like shame, defenselessness, and attachment anxiety.
Whether you’re looking to build your clinical toolkit, refer a client, collaborate, or enhance your practice, this is the perfect place to start.
Mask-Making Workshop
A Self-Study Workshop - Not a Live Event.
Mask making. What do we show? What do we see?
This experiential workshop is run by an art therapist and clinical social worker, for purposes of exploration, play and insight.
Please allow yourself up to 2 hours to complete this workshop.
When we say mask, we are not talking N-95, or anything that provides the protection we’ve been needing to avoid virus transmission. Please!
We are coming back to ourselves here. How we experience ourselves, and even how we experience ourselves in relation to others.
This is a pre-recorded, self-study workshop - you will be able to go at your own pace, pause the recording and repeat it as many times as you'd like - you have lifetime access to the recording.
Inside Outside Box: An On-Demand Workshop
An experiential art workshop in a self-study format
I’d like to share one of my favorite therapeutic art exercises - the Inside Outside Box - with you, in a workshop format.
Why a box? Well, just like us, it has an inside and an outside.
What are you experiencing on the Inside?
What are you showing on the outside?
This art experiential will be a supportive, non-judgmental zone for art, creative play and insight.
The workshop includes guided meditations and self-explorations in a group space.

Mini Course #1: Foundations of a Mother Wound
A Mother Wound is a relational wound, meaning it developed from a relationship, or lack of one, when we most needed it. When our physical, spiritual, and emotional needs are not met, we develop what I call the Mother Wound. A mother, in this context, can be a biological or adoptive mother, a stepmother, or any person (related or not) who significantly impacts a child’s well-being—physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Join me on this transformative journey to heal and empower yourself as you overcome the Mother Wound.
In Course 1, you will be introduced to the process. This means you will learn some of my favorite settling exercises, an easy and fun art exercise. I will also teach and quiz you on attachment theory (which is so basic to the Mother Wound) and provide concrete examples.
Mini Course #2: Resourcing the Nervous System
In this course, we begin by settling our nervous system (learned in Course #1), work more directly with our nervous system, and I explayin way. Learn the value of resources, and listen to guided meditations to assist your engagement in therapeutic art making and writing prompts for unpacking and releasing old patterns. Join us on this journey to continue your healing and empowerment.
Mini Course #3: Who is the Critic
In this course, we begin by listening to our inner voices in an unexptect way. I will walk you through a six-step process using a series of art and writing prompts before you learn new and unique resources through guided meditations and embodiment exercises. Together, we will learn to ride the ups and downs of a healthy nervous system, continuing our journey of healing and empowerment.
Mini Course #4: Chakras and the Mother Wound
In this course, we delve deeper into the Mother Wound, engaging our bodies through the Chakra system, to invite embodiment and support before exploring 6 types of Mother Wounds. Guided meditations, art and writing prompts will support you as you embrace and navigate this transformative process.
Mini Course #5: Gift of the Mother Wound
This course starts with a powerful exercise that combines art and writing to deepen your healing journey. I’ll guide you through a follow-along art process with detailed explanations and a video demonstration. Before we begin, make sure to practice the supportive and grounding exercises from courses 1-4 to prepare yourself for this transformative experience.
