Daughters of Critical Mothers (DOCM) for Clinicians Workshop
This is a pre-recorded event - you can go at your own pace!

Important Note:
This workshop was created prior to our shift to more gender-inclusive language, so you will see reference to "daughters" in this workshop, though the content is applicable to all genders.
Do you have female clients who are processing a wounded relationship with their mother?
Mother Wounds are so common, yet they take unique insight, intention, and an individualized approach.
After years of working with women who struggle with a challenging attachment to their mother figure, I began to understand the patterns, beliefs, and behaviors we so often see in Daughters of Critical Mothers. No matter the type of Mother Wound, the impact often shows up as:
- Feelings of Unworthiness
- Paralyzing Perfectionism
- Attachment Anxiety
- Self-Limiting Patterns
In the DOCM Courses, Workshops, and Online Therapy Group, I use my unique background as a Creative Arts Therapist to address and alleviate the impacts of the Mother Wound, and I’m happy to expand this offering to clinicians working with this population.
In this two-hour, pre-recorded workshop, we’ll learn about the characteristics of a Daughter of a Critical Mother and how best to support her. We’ll go beyond the first layers of perfectionism and self-doubt, diving deeper into inner experiences like shame, defenselessness, and attachment anxiety.
Whether you’re looking to build your clinical toolkit, refer a client, collaborate, or enhance your practice, this is the perfect place to start.
